The Grand Prix takes place from October 9 to 11, but the road closures around Marina Centre and Padang extend from the 7th to the 13th. The first question is not how much to charge, but whether the accommodation can operate legally and how operations change.
Legality first
In Singapore, private residential housing does not function as conventional short-term vacation rentals. The event strategy must focus on legally authorized accommodations.
Six movements with an extra 25 minutes each = 2.5 hours. At S$28/hour and S$15 additional per transfer, the operational cost increase would be S$160.
For legal operators: review access, check-ins, cleaning, transportation, and communication before adjusting prices. The event does not justify promoting illegal residential rentals.
